About Author

Jim Beneke has held executive positions as vice president of Products and Emerging Technology and Vice President of Global Technical Marketing at Avnet. Under his direction, Avnet has launched a portfolio of industry-leading design solutions and training programs supporting top technology companies. Joining Avnet in 1994, Jim served in a variety of field and staff positions supporting technical sales and marketing. Prior to this, he held design engineering and engineering management positions for 10 years at Raytheon/E-Systems and General Electric. Jim holds a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Bucknell University and a master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Villanova University.
